If its shutting down, then its either overloaded or overheating.Normally the CPU power cable is on a separate rail so it does not share the rail with the GPU power cables / HDD power cables.Your PS is kind of overkill. A system like that would draw less than 400W.When gaming, that is OK, because the power supply would be using approximately 45% of its capacity.When IDLE, the power supply will be very inefficient.
