It is ridiculous how lax parents in my community are about keeping their kids in car seats. It is one of my pet peeves. My husband constantly has to calm me down in car loading line. While mine are put in their proper seats, some parents just load 'em in and take off. Kids flying every which way. I even asked a women who's child was in my sons class why she didn't use a car seat - even though it is the law. She told me her daughter hated it and besides, she never had a car seat or seat belts growing up.... yadda yadda.... I had to bite my lip and walk away. I wish I had had one of your brochures to hand her. It is a different, more dangerous world we live in as opposed to a decade or two ago. My gosh, when are people going to realize these laws are in place for a reason... ok... I need to calm down. I sometimes think people w! ant to rush getting their kids out of the car seats and boosters...like it's some kind of "look how big my kid is" thing - or it's a pain to keep it in your car or something. Anyway, as for me, maybe I'm overprotective, but I'd just as soon keep them as safe as they can be for as long as possible. I may keep mine in safety seats into high school LOL Just kidding!
